I am running for reelection to the Glenpool City Council Ward 2. I am asking for your vote on April 1st. Over the past four years, I have had the honor of serving the citizens of this great city. We have had several accomplishments over this time and I would love to continue to serve as your representative for the next four years.
I moved to Glenpool over 10 years ago when I bought my house. When I was looking for a place to live, I knew Glenpool was a growing community and I was excited to put down roots here.
I currently own a fundraising business where I help schools, churches, youth leagues, and similar groups raise money for their programs. Before that, I taught math and social studies for 17 years. Recently, I have done some substitute teaching in Glenpool Public Schools as well.
I graduated from Union High School in 1996. After that, I attended Tulsa Community College and received three associate degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. I then went on to Oklahoma State University where I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. A few years later, I went back to Oklahoma State University and received a Masters in Business Administration in 2010.

This project is now in the design phase. It's purpose is to capture excess runoff from Taylor's Pond and divert it was way from houses and streets in Rolling Meadows and stop the flooding that occurs.
This project was completed with an eye towards future growth along 15st street east towards Bixby.
This project will install sidewalks in "old town" to connect Black Gold Park with Glenpool schools. It also will install sidewalks from the schools to the South County Recreation facility.
We have added new fire and police positions. We have also added new vehicles and equipment. The police department recently completed an upgrade of some of their facilities as well.
During the summer months we have offered a free concert for Glenpool residents to enjoy once a month.
Our 4th of July celebration, known as the Red, White, and Boom Bash, has grown bigger every year. This is a free celebration for all of our citizens to enjoy each year and includes a concert, food, games for the kids, and of course a giant fireworks display.
Our farmers market, which happens every Saturday from spring through fall, takes place at Black Gold Park. It has continued to grow and we get more and more vendors to show up each year.
We are in negotiations with an engineering design firm to begin working on plans for the Elwood widening project. This has been a long time coming and will greatly help traffic flow in Glenpool.
We are currently building a disc golf course at Morris Park for all of our residents to enjoy. Additionally, we are expecting it to bring visitors from all over to take advantage of playing at this top of the line course.
The city recently purchased the Dawes property. This property is just south of land the city already owns and looking to develop. We are excited about all of the possibilities that we can do with this property to enhance the lives of our citizens. City staff is still examining different possibilities and will make recommendations to the council soon for the best way to use this land.
We continue to be fiscally responsible to our citizens and put forth a budget each year that allows us to grow while also living within our means as a city. We also continue to see clean reports on our annual accounting audits each year.
Worked with the VFW to restore our Veterans Memorial.
This is an update to the City of Glenpool’s Bicycle and Pedestrian plan, which would become part of the INCOG Regional Go Masterplan.
